The End and A New Beginning
Evelyn and her group at our homeschool co-op finished Minimus Secundus: Moving on in Latinthis week.
The Latin club we joined last year to do Minimus: Starting out in Latin turned into a full-day co-op this year.
We have had so much fun.
The kids recorded a dialog from the final chapter. With luck you'll be able to listen to it (embedding audio is new for me) while looking at the cartoon. I can't recommend Minimus enough. It is a fun and inspiring introduction to Latin based on artifacts discovered at a Roman site in Britain near Hadrian's Wall.
Just as Minimus Secundus ended, but Pandora began a new life as a free woman, our time enjoying her world will soon end, when Clem's group finishes next week. But we'll be on to new and exciting things with co-op next fall.

A little Money Python seems appropriate:

Oh--we will definitely show that to the kids--one mom and I were talking about it but hadn't hunted up a link. Thank you!
Sounds wonderful!
This fall should be special.
Oh, I'm so intrigued! I studied Latin all through high school and loved it, and Maggie's been intrigued by Latin since we listened to The Penderwicks. I might just have to order the workbook....
Yep, I've seen your group in action at our homeschooling history fair and they really seem to enjoy it and understand it. I think it's great that you have a group of parents and kids to do cool stuff with.
Barbara, and anyone interested in the curriculum: I just discovered there is even a Minimus blog with great ideas. You can go from there to the website which has worksheets and games. It is a little hard to navigate, but there is plenty there.

Susan, to get started with this curriculum, can I just buy the student workbook, or do you think the teacher's manual is a must have (it's quite pricey)?
christine, I'll put it on my calendar to bring to park day. I've got the teacher's manual and two student books you can borrow.
